Member Support Program

Before starting your registration, please review the registration policies (different fees, what is included in each package and the requirements for each fee). Check the available IEEE RAS Member Support Program discount. Follow the instructions provided in the registration platform guide carefully. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ERRORS MADE BY PARTICIPANTS DURING THE REGISTRATION. The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) leadership is excited to announce the IEEE RAS Member Support Program (MSP) for CASE2024! This program aims to provide financial support to members who contribute to activities aligned with the RAS mission.

Financial Support

The Member Support Program offers a discount of €135.00 to CASE 2024 registration fees.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the MSP, participants must both:

  1. Be an IEEE RAS member before registering for the conference.
  2. Be an organizer of a Workshop or be an author or co-author of a Regular Paper, Special Session Paper, or of a T-ASE, T-RO, RA-L Presentation-only Paper.

Note: Special Session Abstracts, Work-in-progress and Industry Papers are not eligible for the discount.

Constraints

  • One discount is offered per accepted paper to an author.
  • One discount is offered per workshop to a workshop organizer.
  • The discount is available only to participants registering for in-person registration (virtual registrations are not eligible for the discount).
  • The discount applies only to early-bird registration (deadline: June 30).

FAQs

  1. Can financial support be transferred from an IEEE/RAS member to a non-member? No.
  2. Can financial support be transferred from one paper/workshop to another? No.
  3. How do we decide which paper author receives the discount? The presenting author gets priority (if they are an IEEE/RAS member). If they decline, another author on the paper may claim it.
  4. How do we decide which workshop organizer receives the discount? The organizers can decide among themselves.
  5. Can a student claim the discount? Yes, provided that the student is an author of a paper that is already “covered” with a full registration (see example below).
  6. I have a full IEEE RAS registration and want to cover two eligible papers. Will I get a double discount? No, the discount applies per registration, not per paper.

Examples

Example 1: Single paper author discount

  • John Smith is an IEEE RAS member.
  • He has authored a Regular Paper for CASE2024.

John can claim the €135.00 discount at the point of registration because he is an IEEE RAS member and has authored an eligible paper.

Example 2: Multiple authors on a single paper

  • Maria Garcia and Alan Brown are co-authors of a Special Session Paper.
  • Both are IEEE RAS members.

Maria and Alan must decide who will receive the €135.00 discount.

Example 3: Single author covering two papers

  • Sarah Lee is an IEEE RAS member.
  • She has authored two eligible papers for CASE2024: one Regular Paper and one Special Session Paper. She is the only author of the two papers present at the conference.
  • She plans to attend the conference in person and register for both papers (paying the €250 additional fees to present the second paper).

Since the discount applies per registration and per paper, she can only receive one €135.00 discount, regardless of the number of eligible papers she has authored.

Example 4: Student and non-student co-authors with multiple papers

  • Michael Evans, an IEEE RAS member, and Jane Doe, a Ph.D. student and IEEE RAS member, co-authored two eligible papers for CASE2024: one Regular Paper and one Special Session Paper.
  • Michael plans to attend the conference in person and Jane also plans to attend the conference in person with a student registration.

Since Jane Doe wants to use a student registration, which is not eligible to cover the registration of a paper, Evans will cover both papers with his full registration (paying the €250 additional fees to present the second paper).
Michael can claim the €135.00 discount for the Regular Paper during his registration while Jane can claim the €135.00 discount for the Special Session Paper.

How to get the discount

To claim a discount, the participant should also enter a discount code in the registration platform and locate the field labeled “Discount code (if any).” Enter the discount code in the following format:

CASE2024_<IEEE Membership number>_<Papercept paper number>

For example, if your IEEE Membership number is 1111112222 and your Papercept paper number is 999, the code to be included is: CASE2024_1111112222_999

Then, select one of the following fees in step 3 of the registration platform

  • T4 -In-person Full IEEE RAS MSP
  • T8 -In-person Student IEEE RAS MSP (the only case where you can use this discount is the one of example 4, see above)
