Call for Workshops/Tutorials

We invite proposals for workshops and tutorials on emerging trends and technologies related, but not limited, to the topics of the CASE 2024, as outlined in the Call for Papers

Workshops and tutorials are scheduled for September 1. Speakers are expected to be registered for the conference or alternatively for the workshop day, in person or online (maximum 1 speaker per workshop). Further details can be found on our registration page.

The Workshop and Tutorial chairs will evaluate proposals based on all information provided during the submission and make decisions based on the topic and the event’s inclusiveness regarding careers, backgrounds, gender, and ethnicity.

How to submit

To submit your workshop or tutorial proposal, please follow these steps:

  1. Download the workshop/tutorial proposal template and fill it with the following information.

    • Goal: Please provide a brief 2-3 paragraph summary explaining the goal of the workshop/tutorial and relate your proposal to the topics of CASE 2024.
    • Organizers. Provide each organizer’s affiliation, address, email address, and URL.
    • Abstract. Please provide a short paragraph (300 words max) describing the proposed event. This will be used to advertise the event on the conference website.
    • Description: Describe your event and how you will ensure the highest quality content. The workshop/tutorial proposal will be evaluated regarding its scientific quality and potential to engage participants with diverse backgrounds. Include a tentative schedule, a list of confirmed speakers, and a description of your efforts to include speakers from various demographics, geographic locations, and career stages.
    • Format: A description of the format of the workshop/tutorial (e.g., presentations, panels, breakout sessions, interactive activities) and how it will encourage discussion and participation. Please note that the event should provide a venue for young researchers to interact with senior researchers. Specify whether you are submitting a workshop or a tutorial proposal and whether the event is half-day or full-day.
    • Plan to solicit participation. Please describe how you plan to increase participation in your event if it is accepted.
    • Related Events: Please provide the title, venue, date, and URL for workshops the proposers have organized over the last five years. Please list separately the same information for workshops organized by others on similar topics in the previous five years.

    • Compliance with RAS Guidelines and RAS Code of Conduct: Please include a statement confirming that the organizers will be present at the workshop and that the workshop will comply with the RAS Guidelines and the IEEE RAS Code of Conduct.
    • (Optional) Support of an IEEE RAS Technical Committee. If your workshop is supported by an IEEE RAS Technical Committee (TC), please attach a support email from the TC (one of the TC chairs is sufficient).
